In my role spearheading the social media strategy for "Visit the Outer Banks," I focused on capturing and conveying the unique allure of this cherished destination. My objective was not just to attract tourists but to immerse them in the experience of the Outer Banks before they even set foot on its sands.
Content Planning: My strategy centered around a comprehensive content calendar that highlighted the diverse appeal of the Outer Banks through strategic content buckets. From the serene sunrises over the Atlantic to the rich history and vibrant local culture, each piece of content was meticulously planned to showcase a different facet of the area. Seasonal highlights, local events, and hidden gems were all strategically placed in our content timeline to keep the audience engaged and inspired throughout the year.
Content Creation: Visual storytelling was at the heart of our content creation. I worked closely with content creators to capture stunning visuals that told the story of the Outer Banks - however the samples shown below were all pieces I captured and edited. Additionally, I helped craft engaging and social-first captions that enhanced the visuals, providing context and inviting followers to envision their own adventures in the Outer Banks.
